PREAMBLE

This CPM course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively implement, operate, and control Integrated Financial Management Information Systems (IFMIS). It explores how IFMIS strengthens public financial management (PFM) by enhancing transparency, accountability, efficiency, and control over government financial resources. The program covers the full life cycle: from system design and implementation, to operational use in budgeting, accounting, procurement, and reporting, to governance and control mechanisms that safeguard against misuse. Practical demonstrations, case studies, and simulations are included to ensure hands-on learning.

TARGET GROUP

The training is designed for:

    • Government officials in ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

    • Public financial managers & accountants using IFMIS in daily operations.

    • Internal and external auditors overseeing government accounts.

    • ICT officers supporting IFMIS infrastructure.

    • Budget officers, planners, and procurement staff.

    • Policy makers and senior managers overseeing financial reforms. 

    • Development partners and donor representatives supporting PFM reforms.
